Arleen started her career with Sir Brian Morton & Company, as a secretary at their head office in Belfast. She quickly moved into Agency herself, eventually becoming Assistant Manager of the Glengormley Branch under Ken Smith.
Arleen opened her own agency (ABC) in November 1978, first in Ferbro Buildings, later moving to its own offices on the Antrim Road. Arleen quickly gained an excellent reputation in the local area and was eventually appointed a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents in May 1991.
Understanding that the market was changing rapidly, and that the Private Letting sector was expanding, she set up the ABC Rental Centre in the mid 1990's. ABC quickly became the largest Letting Agent in Newtownabbey.
She currently concentrates on residential sales and letting, mainly dealing with sales and investments of existing or previous clients.
Her passions include making homemade greetings and birthday cards (which are on sale in the office from time to time) and shopping. She lives in Doagh, with her husband James. Her favourite Star Trek series is The Original Series.
Graham grew up between Glengormley and Ballyclare, and spent much of his formative years in the Office helping out and is steeped in the estate agents profession.
After attending Ballyclare High School, Graham read Law at The Queen's University of Belfast, graduating in 2007, with specialisations in Land Law and Property Law.
During his time at University he was involved in several projects including the Saintfield Festival. He was a Speaker of the Students' Representative Council of the Students Union, and a Postgraduates' Student Officer. He was also an Editor of PTQ (Pro Tanto Quid), the RAG charity joke magazine. He joined the family business in late 2007, just before the start of the financial crisis, for which he takes no responsibility.
Graham has a Technical Award in The Sale of Residential Property from the NFOPP (The National Federation of Property Professionals Awarding Body). His practice concentrates on new landlords and new tenancies, and keeping up with developments in lettings regulations.
Graham lives in Ballyclare, with his partner Sharon and daughter Abigail. His favourite Star Trek series is The Next Generation.
David studied English to Masters level at The Queen's University of Belfast, graduating in 2007.
David joined A Barton Company in 2011, quickly developing a specialty in Letting Negotiation. He is a recognised portrait and landscape artist, and had been exhibited by the Royal Ulster Academy.
In the office David carries out most inspections, and deals with many of the issues arising out of existing tenancies.
He lives in Newtownabbey with his wife Monique. His favourite Star trek series is Deep Space Nine (just a little bit, TNG is hard to beat).
Margaretta was born and bred in Mossley and has an excellent knowledge of the area, having lived here most of her life. She cemented her place in local history by being crowned Ballyclare May Fair Queen in the Mid-1990's.
After a varied career, she first started working for A Barton Company in the early 2000's, and developed a reputation for good communication and a friendly attitude.
She mainly liaises with clients and tradesmen for repairs and maintenance, but is also involved with viewing and letting negotiation.
She still lives in Mossley, with her two sons. She gets sick of all the Star Trek talk in the office.
Hilary joined A Barton Company in 2013, quickly becoming an efficient and friendly face to meet clients and deal with issues. She is a main point of contact dealing with day-to-day issues, in relation to existing tenancies and in liaising with clients and vendors.
She lives in Ballyclare, with her husband Allan. She hates Star Trek. But we keep trying.
Growing up in Glengormley, the son of a Builder and an Estate Agent, Graham has a firm grasp of the local property market, and in the fabric of the homes themselves.
After a long career as an Inspector in Shorts, Graham moved into the family business of Joinery and Building, forming ABC Maintenance and Repair services. He carries out much of the work himself, and for larger projects works in a consulting or contractual capacity.
He lives in Parkgate, with his wife Amanda and is an avid fan of Chelsea Football Club. His favourite Star Trek series is The Next Generation.
