We are members of The Property Ombudsman (TPO) for both Residential Sales (a legal requirement) and for Lettings (voluntarily), insuring the highest standards, and giving customers an independent arbiter in disputes. The TPO scheme has been providing consumers and property agents with an alternative dispute resolution service since 1990.
A Barton Company protects all received residential deposits in a custodial scheme with Letting Protection Service Northern Ireland (LPSNI). Under The Tenancy Deposit Schemes Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012, LPSNI is one of three government regulated companies, charged with protecting Tenants deposits. This insures transparency in all matters relating to tenants deposits and an independent framework for dealing with disputes.
Under the terms of the Landlord Registration Scheme Regulations (NI) 2014 all our Landlords must legally be registered with the government's scheme. The scheme is increasingly being used by the government to track changes in the private lettings market, and to validate landlords for grant aid and other regulatory matters.
